ទិវាជាតិនៃការចងចាំត្រូវបានប្រារព្ធឡើងជារៀងរាល់ឆ្នាំនៅថ្ងៃទី ២០ ខែ ឧសភា ដើម្បីរំលឹកដល់ជនរងគ្រោះ និងការឈឺចាប់ពីឧក្រិដ្ឋកម្ម ដែលកើតមានក្នុងរបបកម្ពុជាប្រជាធិបតេយ្យ ចាប់ពី ថ្ងៃទី១៧ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ ដល់ ថ្ងៃទី០៦ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៩។

Annually on May 20th, we solemnly observe the National Day of Remembrance, dedicated to honoring the victims and acknowledging the profound suffering caused by the atrocities committed during the Democratic Kampuchea regime from April 17, 1975, to January 6, 1979.
